The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan congratulated the Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the beginning of the chairmanship in the CFM OIC and wished him successful work for the benefit of people of the countries of the organization.
The state and prospects of development of bilateral relations, as well as interaction within the UN, OIC and other international and regional structures were considered.
The ministers confirmed the mutual interest in developing cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other fields and the presence of significant potential for this. In particular, in 2018, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates increased by 23% compared with the previous year and, as expected, this dynamic will continue in the current year.
A special place in the negotiations was taken by proposals of the parties regarding the timing and agenda of the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.
