The meeting was attended by members of the Advisory Committee from the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a representative of the CIS Executive Committee.
Members of the Committee welcomed Uzbekistan's participation and its membership in the Advisory Committee.
At the meeting they discussed issues of formation of the norms of the General international law, text of the next edition of the Guidelines for development of draft international treaties, feasibility of developing recommendations justifying introduction of draft documents for consideration by the Council of Heads of States, Council of Heads of Governments, Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Economic Council of the CIS, as well as other issues on improving the rule-making process within the framework of the Commonwealth
